J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 8 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Seattle, WA) en déc. 2012

      Entretien

The process of interviewing with Amazon is regimented. It's two phone interviews and an in person session in Seattle. Their appears to be a list of questions that are shared by interviewers as I was asked the same technology focused questions several times by mistake. You can expect your initial phone interviewers to be a mix of potential coworkers and perhaps a manager. They will assess your technical aptitude in the phone calls to see if you're capable of handling the daily work of a Support Engineer. They will hammer you on your OS of choice (hopefully it's Linux based), troubleshooting skills, networking knowledge (both client, network, and internet technologies), and experiences handling customers' issues such as a down web application. You should study this before you get into the interview so you're quick on your feet. Also, expect some of the basic interview questions in the beginning such as why you want to work for AWS. Assuming you pass both rounds, you'll be selected to travel to Amazon in Seattle. You are reimbursed for your time in Seattle at a per diem rate, but they will handle the flight and hotel at least. Being reimbursed sucks, so plan to bring lots of cash to make it through. Especially pay attention the the yellow cabs. They will try to swindle you if they can; I had one steal ten bucks from me … They also don't like credit cards. Anyways, they do like to fly you in the day before so you can get comfortable. Transportation to their HQ is on your own, though they will reimburse you. The day of the interview, I traveled to reception via the elevators. It's the last bank of elevators on the right, and be sure to use the set on the RIGHT because the other goes to the garage levels. I was greeted by my first interviewer and led to a small conference room with a small round table. Another reviewer on GlassDoor mentioned this was where he would stop explaining the details due to the 'NDA'. That guy must have never even read it because it makes no mention whatsoever of sharing non-trade secrets. Here we go: You sit in a chair and are serviced round robin by five to seven interviewers. Your only break is the bathroom, but they are really nice about it. The schedule is not explicitly stated to you, but you may ask and glean some information about who you will be meeting. Expect to have a lunch interview. You might go out to eat, and sometimes they bring food in for you (but they will account for food allergies you may have). You will meet a mix of coworkers, managers, and a 'bar-raiser'. The coworkers will want to know if you're capable of pulling your own weight. The manager will want to know if you will fit into the company culture (and be able to handle the customers). The bar raiser will want to know if you're better in a specific area than the standard Amazon employee. For instance, if you're a tech guy and the bar-raiser is in Marketing, he'll want to know if you can go above and beyond to explain a complex technical problem. Do your best, and you should be fine. After the interview, they will hold a debrief within a couple days, though I suspect they also commit their thoughts to paper or a form to remember you for the meeting. If they like you, expect a call no earlier than 7 full days. They won't jump on you, but they should know within 24 hours whether or not they want you. This part is the worst. All in all, expect to meet a diverse set of interviewers who are in their own way trying to size you up and see if you fit into Amazon.

After OA, there was a technical phone interview. After the phone interview, I made a schedule for a final interview with recruiters. But the job was closed before the final interview. In the current job market, timing is most important. Please make a schedule ASAP.
