Le processus a pris 4 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Deloitte (Toronto, ON) en oct. 2011
Entretien
I applied via their careers page for a permanent Recruitment position. I was contact by the Recruitment Manager and he suggested I was a better fit for a Senior Sourcing position. I had always heard great things about Deloitte so I agreed to meet him for an interview.
I went to their downtown Toronto office, which is nice but typical big company feeling (not all bad, but just lacked some personality). The individual I met was very easy to talk to, loved his job and did a good job finding out about what I really wanted in my career. At a few points I felt he was trying to scare me into thinking being a Recruiter would be far to stressful (talked about some hiring managers having short tempers) and sold me hard on how great I could be on the sourcing side.
The process ended up taking 4 months. Twice during the process he went on vacation for an extended period of time and there was uncertainty on being able to hire for the Sourcing position. Originally it was a 1-year contract, but by the end of the interviewing process it was only 8-months.
I found the interview questions to be more conversational than hard hitting. I didn't feel they were trying to trick me or anything. I did interview with one person who seemed like a poor cultural fit to Deloitte in comparison to the other people I met. She was very rules oriented and I got the impression I was going to be hire to simple serve her needs. Which might be the truth, but it didn't leave me with a team feeling.
Applied via LinkedIn, got a screening call and then a face to face interview. Interview went smooth although questions were confusing about what I did and how that aligned with what they are looking for. I felt anyway positive about the role and the company as I came from a same corporate background and overall the interview was also positive for both. After 2 weeks eventually I received a final feedback that they will not move forward because they want someone "up and running" whatever that means. I told them I bring already 6 years of experience coming from a high tech background and closed many positions in the past years within Belgium and Netherlands. They still tought for a junior recruitment role I'm not experienced enough which is laughable really.
