It is microsoft like style interview. Most questions were about processes, negotiation skills, and couching developers. Expedia uses offshore development centers, so a lot of questions were in offshore management. The company used to be Program Mangers heavy, so I was asked to sketch a spec , and collect requirements for a sample project. As a development manager, I expected coding questions, but the interviewers said that they believe in my coding skills because of my previous employers.

Entretien
The interview process was overall very good - it was conversational and was more of a discussion as opposed to the routine interrogation. The interviewers made me feel comfortable and also tried to understand my views on certain aspects of the role. I had one phone round and 3 onsite face to face interviews (single day). The first two interviews went well in terms of discussion. The last interview was the complete opposite. The interviewer was constantly doing something on the laptop and rarely made eye contact, seemed totally uninterested in the chat. The 3rd interviewer was also more interested in job titles held previously as opposed to the actual work done in terms of roles and responsibilities as well as expertise. I got a feeling that the interview was just a formality for rejection. Till date, after almost 6 weeks I havent received any feedback. I know at this point I am not selected but I expect some one liner at least stating that I was not selected. I had invested time, money and energy in the process along with the interviewers and I expect some feedback at the very least.

Applied online via Expedia Careers, received an email with basic questionnaire, completed it and was scheduled for a phone call. After the phone call, I was scheduled for an onsite interview and a Skype type web interview. It is a breeze if you have truly worked and you will sweat it out if you are trying to cover up. Be honest and present yourself, your experience and your technical knowledge.

It started with Phone Screening and ended with HR Discussion. In between there were Tech Round - I, Tech Round -2, Team Management, Behavioral related sections focused on those domains
