      Entretien

6 rounds of interviews from multiple different departments. In the end, it seemed quite excessive but it was nice to learn more about the company from various perspectives. The interview process happened at the same time as the acquisition so things were quite uncertain on many points. After the last interview, they reached out saying that they decided to change the responsibilities of the role which I no longer was a good fit.

Worst screening by a recruiter I've ever had in my life. She obviously was convinced that I was under qualified for the position before she had even called me, and essentially spent the entire screening convincing me of that fact. At the end of the conversation, after berating me for nearly 30 minutes, she was badgering me to tell her what my "level of compensation" was at my previous company, stating she had been a recruiter for that company as well, so she "understood" what the levels were. When I told her I wanted to keep that information confidential (and per California LAW!), she told me that this was too high a level for me (even though she had no clue what my level was, which was a senior leadership role). In addition, throughout the conversation she commented on how she wanted a leader that could attract "top creative talent", all the while inadvertently revealing the indiscriminate hierarchy in the company. I found it laughable - no "creative talent" worth their salt would be attracted to a company that is that hierarchical. She was one of the most unprofessional recruiters I've ever spoken with in my life and turned me off from ever wanting to work at Intuit. Shame really, because I find some of their products great. In the end, I didn't understand why she wasted 30 mins of my and her time when she'd clearly made up her mind before calling me that I was "under qualified".
