      Entretien

Got a phone screening with a recruiter within a week after I applied. The phone screening consisted of mostly basic questions with a few questions like "what makes you interested in this position" at the end. Got an interview offer at the end of the phone screening and scheduled it right away. The interviewer was the general manager of the department, and the entire interview (through phone) lasted for over an hour. I had great feelings about how I did in the interview, and felt like the interviewer was very interested because she offered me tips on the next round of interview, and even told me that they wanted to fly me in and tried to schedule a date with me (ended up only setting up a range of dates on the phone because she wanted to double check with another manager who she thought would also be interested in talking to me). So the phone interview also went smooth with a strong impression that I would easily get into the next round of interview. However, I waited for three weeks and there was no update on the progress, so I sent an email to the recruiter to ask. The response was that they were interviewing the remaining candidates and would get back to me by the end of the week. And then I waited for three more weeks, still no response. So this time I called, and the recruiter told me that they were interviewing/making decisions about the local candidates, and would get back to me within a week. And then finally I got a response the following week saying that they had chosen to continue with the local candidates.
