TL;DR --- bunch of time wasters! 1) An hour long introductory first interview with a senior researcher and his manager from France. 2) second interview with HR after a month (only after I asked them the status of my application) 3) 5 interviews with various panels. I was also asked to give an hour long presentation on my work. The post-presentation discussion went for 30 minutes. The hiring manager promised to share the final outcome soon... Did not hear from them for ~1.5 months. The job was removed from their portal. The decision makers didn't have the basic courtesy to inform the decision after using more than 8 hours of my time. Thank God I didn't join this team :)
