      Entretien pour Technical Program Manager

      24 avr. 2017
      Employé (anonyme)
      Boston, MA
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience positive
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. J'ai passé un entretien chez Salesforce (Boston, MA) en avr. 2017

      Entretien

I was referred by someone I knew from previous work experience. It was exactly three weeks between my first application and me getting feedback from the recruiter that they're ready to make an offer . I am on an H1B, so it is going to take a few weeks for me to get the transfer process completed. After I applied on Friday, I had a phone screen with the recruiter, then a phone screen with the hiring manager within the first week. My on-site interview followed in about 10 days. And few days after that, I heard back with the offer. Recruiter screen - It was just a conversation around what I currently do, why I am testing the job market, a fair discussion on expected compensation etc. At the end of the call, we already set up our next round. Hiring manager Phone Screen - I was asked to address the following - my knowledge about Salesforce - my knowledge about the group - my knowledge about the position. - how I ended up in Program Management from a background in technology. - What is the one thing you want in your next job? The onsite interview involved 6 interviews back to back - 5 with various members on the team and then a final discussion with the recruiter.

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 4 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Salesforce en nov. 2023

      Entretien

The process overall was pretty standard. I had 5 rounds of interviews: 1 phone screen, 1 interview with the hiring manager, 1 round with team members (4), and a 30 min presentation. Everyone was notably very kind and that made me feel good about moving forward with the position. It took a long time from start to finish -- about 4.5 months, but I started in November so just before the holiday period. The recruiter noted that my process was taking particularly long and this was not the norm. I think it also had to do with some hiring policy changes occurring at the same time. Ultimately I really enjoyed the process and I am looking forward to working at Salesforce (Slack).

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Salesforce en nov. 2019

      Entretien

Long and extensive. I had 8 total interviews over a 3 week period. A phone screen (15 mins), a interview with the hiring manager (45 mins), five (5) on-site interviews (45 mins each, 1:1), and a final interview (30 mins). I was told I was the runner-up candidate and the person who was offered the job got it because they had a nudge more technical experience. The only problem here is that almost none of the questions during the entire interview process focused on my technical competency. It all focused on PM skills. Therefore, how did they gauge my technical experience? Only the small amount of information on my resume? I also have a very well-rounded, technical background so someone would have needed almost 10+ years experience in a technical field to surpass my own. This is truly disheartening because I really wanted to work here and they made the interview process extremely exhaustive. On a more positive note, the recruiter and coordinator were always communicative and transparent, which I thought was awesome. I have never been so far through an interview process and not been offered a job so this is definitely a new experience for me.
