      TLDR : A pretty much weird/bad experience with Salesforce India interview. Don't waste your time with them if you are willing to do so. So I was contacted by one of the recruiters for SF India office. The first round was coding round. There were two interviewers. After a brief chit chat we started for the 'coding' part. First question was to reverse an integer. Well, to say the least I am pretty much decent in problem solving so it took hardly 2-3 minutes to tell the approach and solve it (with all the proper handling of the negative numbers, overflow cases etc). Next question was to find the first and last occurrence of a number in a sorted array. Which again I solved using binary search with a pretty much in depth discussion regarding the approach and tradeoffs! The other interviewer was pretty much a silent spectator and the one interviewer who was discussing the solution was pretty much convinced with the solution and optimizations. Then, after half an hour I got a call from the recruiter saying, "Your coding round didn't go well. Your coding skills were not up-to mark. There were lots of errors. Code wasn't optimized". I mean what the actual hell! At this point I am not even able to comprehend what did the interviewer want from this round. What are the expectations? To code binary search and reverse an integer in assembly language or use punch cards? At least set straight your expectation so that I am ready with some assembly language, may be? Seriously, this was the most weird experience I ever had! To anyone who is willing to spare some time to interview here, please don't! I am not sure about other centers, but this experience in India location did really leave a bitter taste. 10/10 won't recommend to any one!

      HackerRank Test → Standard coding assessment. HM Screening → Very straightforward, focused on my resume and typical hiring manager questions such as “Why Salesforce?” and “How do you handle conflicts?”. Code & Design 1 → Started with an easy problem but quickly became challenging as the interviewer kept stripping away the modern tech stack and asked me to solve it as if I were working 15 years back. Code & Design 2 → Also began with a simple problem, but soon turned deep as the interviewer drilled down into very fine, low-level details. On-Site Code & Design 3 → Comparatively easier, with a straightforward design discussion and simple DSA problem. HR Discussion → Purely about the offer and logistics. Overall Experience → It was a very engaging process. The interviews weren’t about being strictly right or wrong, but rather about the clarity and depth of thought. I also appreciated the knowledge-sharing aspect of the conversations, which made the experience positive.

      They invited for a hiring event on Saturday, there were 100 s of candidates waiting in complete jeopardy. I reached there at 10.30, kept on waiting, 1 round happened which was supposed to be the 2nd round at 1.30 pm, that was positive now the 2nd round which was supposed to be coding, started around 4.30 pm, the guy came up with hackerank with a leetcode hard problem on graph, he himself was not clear on the concept so started asking me bogus questions about why I am choosing mst approach and wasted 45 mins, I could see he was not getting the answer from me that was in his screen so he had no clue. Then after 50 mins he asked me if I can code in next 15 mins, he went out and came back in 10 mins and told he is out of time now and finally rejected.

      It was a weekend drive so I was able to complete all the rounds in a single day. First round was DSA: * Asked 3 questions (related to Tree and String) Second round was LLD: * Got a use case of designing a application * Talked about Rest API, Data model, SOLID, Interface, code structuring and a bit about scaling Third round was HLD: * Asked to design an online judge kind of application * Primarily focused on DB choices, components, queues, Sync vs Async processing, scale, observability Fourth was managerial round: * Primary focus was on past experience, few behavioural question around team and conflicts
