This switch has made a huge impact already: By buying about 4 million megawatt-hours of green energy, we reduced our direct and indirect CO₂ emissions by 70 percent! 3.2 million tonnes in 2019 decreased to only 0.99 tonnes in 2020. And with our sustainability goals ahead, we will continue the transformation towards a sustainable economy.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrated the women of Continental from around the world! In the selection and development processes at Continental we always follow the principle of “best fit”. However, we still need to enhance global awareness about a healthy gender balance and equality of chances. It is also still a journey for us, therefore we #ChooseToChallenge ourselves to reach this balance and to challenge the many talented females out there to be courageous, to go for leadership roles, to speak up and to question the established way of leadership. Supporting equal access for women to management positions by setting ambitious targets, having objective application procedure and offering flexibility help to ensure equal opportunities. Starting from 16.1% in 2020, we are targeting 25% women in executive and senior executive positions by the end of 2025. Be part of this journey and #ChooseToChallenge inequality and value diversity! And to all our female followers: Remember that every day is a good day for you to be celebrated! #IWD2021
