Communications Coordinator Role Purpose:
The Communications Coordinator supports the Communications and Projects team in the execution and monitoring of global communications strategies for the World Association of Chefs’ Societies (Worldchefs). The role involves developing engaging communications and marketing materials, including social media content, press releases, blog articles, newsletters, and other digital content to support the organization’s initiatives, events, and international network.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Social media content planning and production:
Writing and managing output of social media and news content, including image and video editing, for Worldchefs and on behalf of international stakeholders
Social media community management & growth:
Conducting social media listening, engaging in conversations, flagging opportunities, and recommending tactics for maximizing digital engagement from communities
Daily media monitoring:
Capture Worldchefs news, partner news to share through social networks, e-newsletters, web, and other platforms; build and manage media outreach list
Content creation & design:
Posting events and news for website, and other platforms; familiarity with WordPress and Canva; Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are a plus
Marketing:
Supporting content creation, strategy, and outreach for traditional event-based marketing activities (as well as digital marketing as outlined above)
Podcast production:
Coordinating and producing podcast content from concept to publication, including sourcing and liaising with guest speakers, scheduling recordings, editing audio, preparing promotional assets, and supporting distribution across Worldchefs digital channels.
Project/event coordination:
Supporting administrative processes concerning Worldchefs projects or partnership programs, including various events and workshops organized worldwide.
Stakeholder communications:
Responding to communications requests from international stakeholders, as directed by Communication Manager
Paid Advertising
Supporting paid social media and digital advertising campaigns across platforms
Analytics & Reporting:
Monitoring performance metrics, preparing reports and insights, and recommending optimizations to improve audience reach, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.
Administrative tasks:
Managing filing of communications collateral from across the organization and stakeholders, managing photo library, supporting office administrator and project coordinator to create certifications and other administration tasks. You may be required to undertake other responsibilities and training as requested by your line manager.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, journalism, English, or relevant studies
· Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills in English (IELTS 8.0/CAE C1/TOEFL iBT 110 or more) The 2nd language is a plus
· Photography, graphic design, video editing skill is a plus.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
· Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
· Ability to work on tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks independently
· Good communication skills
· Good organization and planning skills
· Interested in food culture and issues
· Asset: Experience with Microsoft Office, MailChimp, Sprout Social, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
EXPERIENCE
Proven writing experience, or previous experience with an international organization, is a plus
